Throwback Thursdays: Karens, Cops and Caucasian Cousins

Five years ago, we explored a deadly virus that was slowly spreading across the country.

This episode of “The Clapback” was originally published on May 28, 2020

Five years ago, Americans across the nation took to the streets to hold their government accountable for the oppression, inhumanity and state-sponsored violence …

Of mask mandates and government shutdowns.

For some reason, those freedom-loving patriots weren’t as upset when Amy Cooper called the cops on a Black man who was birdwatching in Central Park. The people who wanted to hold their government accountable were also curiously silent when Louisville police officers killed 26-year-old Breonna Taylor on March 13, 2020. A few weeks later, on May 25, police officer Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd.

Why?

In the sixth episode of the new show, “The Clapback,” we got to the bottom of this pandemic of hypocrisy that seemed to target white women, law enforcement officers and people who protest in wraparound sunglasses.
