Whenever I am perplexed about why someone attacks you, there is one relevant question that can solve the mystery.
“Who sent you?”
To understand why sports hollerer Stephen A. Smith (Ho-ESPN) felt the need to criticize Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), one must first understand the constituencies they serve.
Crockett represents a congressional district that is 44% Black, 37% Hispanic and 15.5% white. Stephen A. Smith represents white male sports enthusiasts who elevated him when he criticized Jemele Hill, Serena Williams, Kamala Harris, Colin Kaepernick, LeBron James’ parenting, Black men who wear hoodies and even weed. According to Cook Political Index, Crockett’s serves one of the most anti-Trump districts in America. Smith thinks Donald Trump deserves “applause.”
