When Higher Learning hosts Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsey recently discussed the rising cost of Black barbers, it was the perfect opportunity to interrogate the economic influences that fuel systemic inequality. But to approach this topic, one must first address an even more important social issue:
Why are there so many Jalens in the NBA?
If this doesn’t make sense, you probably need to study a few other nonsensical white economic theories, including:
Black people’s love of Air Jordans is directly related to the Black poverty rate.
Although white people use more drugs, “Black culture” is the reason Black men are more likely to go to prison for drugs.
White high school dropouts have more wealth than Black college grads… because Black people don’t focus on education.
White people can’t find work because immigrants are taking all the low-wage jobs that white people would never do.
Apparently, this is all Jalen Rose’s fault.
