It really is an uncommonly good show, and the racial reality of of Hal Jordan's "white privilege", makes it feel all too real.

That a Black child needed training from age 5 to be competitive with a grown white man who was simply HANDED the Green Lantern job is almost funny. (It's far more historically accurate than it is amusing.)
