You don't become a billionaire without exploiting other people's land, resources, labour, and ideas. You can't invent something and that everyone uses and be a billionaire without extracting those materials from land, doing harm, without exploiting people for that extraction, without underpaying those who help to manufacture the product, etc. Millionaire is feasible. Billionaire, nope.
I've held the opinion for years that the way the people talk about cancel culture, it does not exist. When I do have this conversation with people in real time, I just simply ask "Do people not have the right to disagree with a person's opinions or actions?" Furthermore, if you make someone define that term without describing a specific person, group, age demographic or etc, I bet you dollars to donuts that the very thing that they describe can be applied to the person making the accusation. Full stop. If their interpretation of cancel culture is bad when people they don't like does it, then it's bad when people they do like also do it.
I think it's a product of people who just don't want to own up to their BS. They want to invoke "everyone makes mistakes" as a way to soften criticism (I get that, honestly) but they do not want to abide by it to simply say..... My bad, I'm sorry. We all know there are bad faith people who going to be mad not matter what but those aren't the people that we are talking about. Live, learn and move on.
WE not dumb; we live among and are tethered to Dumb people by virtue of being stolen and brought here unvoluntarily.
