On Monday night, one of country music’s biggest stars inadvertently revealed that he suffers from a rare medical condition that is increasingly becoming prevalent in Black communities across America.

During the CBS broadcast of the American Music Awards, award-winning country artist Shaboozey — who holds the record for the longest No. 1 Billboard single — had an allergic reaction to caucasity while announcing the winner of the AMA for Favorite Country Duo or Group. Clad in a bedazzled outfit from Steve Harvey’s Django Collection and the iconic tie popularized by fashion icon Colonel Sanders, Shaboozey appeared alongside Megan Moroney, a white woman who holds the record for doing the most.

"Country music has been an important part of AMA history," the record-holding record maker began. "The very first year of this show, the award for Favorite Male Country Artist went to the great Charley Pride."

"That same year, Favorite Female Artist went to Lynn Anderson,” Moroney added, whitely. “And this award went to the Carter Family, who basically invented country music."

As soon as Moroney’s statement exited her mouth, Shaboozey’s retinas performed a spectacular somersault that could have challenged Simone Biles for an Olympic medal. Black Twitter immediately translated Shaboozey’s facial expression.

According to behavior analysts, eye rolls are “often associated with expressing disapproval, contempt or frustration.” Others claim that “the briefest roll of the eyes says that you have no faith in, or respect for, what the other person is saying.” However, Shaboozey suffered an attack from a common medical condition known as caucasity.

For those who are unfamiliar with Black history, the story of country music or the medical condition known as caucasity, allow us to explain Shaboozey’s eye roll.
