We have seen a correlation between cancer and the banana growing areas of my hometown in Jamaica. Spray planes used to fly over dropping pesticides several times a week. That's something that needs visibility and awareness and for the powers that be to investigate.

Tiffany, your instincts about DC and Paris were spot on! Washington DC was planned and designed by French artist and engineer Pierre Charles L’Enfant. The L’Enfant plan, as it was called created the grid with letter names running east-west directions and numbers running north-south directions and was inspired by Versailles and Paris. So all those things name L’Enfant( like the Plaza) is named after DC’s French designer. Excellent eye!
We are not organized the way we should be. The African diaspora needs to identify one or two countries in Africa and make these countries an oasis for us all. We could send financial support and even have dual citizenship just as Israeli do.
